Monument for the Participation of Turkey in the Korean War
Turkey dispatched an infantry brigade to Korea on October 17, 1950. Although the Turkish soldiers had difficulties in the Kunu-ri battle in the early stage, they repelled the enemy in the combats of Keumyangjang-ri, Changsungchun, and Nevada. The ROK Ministry of National Defense established this monument to honor their achievements, and to respect those who died in the war.
